DevOps Engineer

Senior DevOps Engineer (Remote – Ireland)

A rapidly growing international SaaS company is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its expanding engineering team. This role focuses on building and operating a secure, scalable cloud platform that supports reliable software delivery across global operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS-based)
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and security integration
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Ensure high availability through robust deployment, monitoring, and rollback strategies
• Collaborate with engineering teams across the full software development lifecycle
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Enhance monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue resolution

Requirements

• 7+ years’ experience in DevOps or similar roles
• Strong expertise in AWS services, architecture, and best practices
• Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration (e.g. ECS, Fargate)
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud infrastructure design
• Experience with Terraform (or similar IaC tools)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab CI/CD)
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Desirable Skills

• Experience with serverless technologies (e.g. AWS Lambda)
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g. CloudWatch)
• Exposure to messaging systems and databases (e.g. SQS, SNS, PostgreSQL, Redis)
